FREE Thanksgiving Meal, Nov. 25

The annual community Thanksgiving meal is set to be served in the same format as last year. Instead of being served inside, the meal with all the trimmings will be cooked, pre-packaged and ready for curbside pickup to be taken home and enjoyed. Asbury United Methodist Church, 107 E. Main St., Lake Mills, will again be the site for meal pick-up. Drivers should use N. Grant St. to collect their meals from the east side of the church. The planning committee felt it was important to continue offering the meal at no cost to anyone who would enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Members from various area churches will help prepare and package the meals. Pickup hours will be from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., or until gone, on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25. People are encouraged to request the number of meals needed by calling 641-592-5742 by Thursday, Nov. 18.
