Michael L. Weinkauf

Michael L. Weinkauf, 67, Forest City, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center surrounded by family. Per Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family of Michael Weinkauf. Michael Leonard Weinkauf was born Dec. 11, 1957, to parents Mark and Barbara (Gran) Weinkauf. Growing up, Michael worked on his family farm.
Over the years, Michael worked several jobs, including tiling, carpentry, trucking, roofing, siding, contracting, and construction. Michael retired in 2008.
In his free time, Michael enjoyed fishing and farming. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. To his family, he will be forever remembered by his outspokenness, his hard working spirit, and his love for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Michael is survived by his stepson, Rocky (Kristy) Meyerhoff; children: Nathan (Julie) Weinkauf, Cole Weinkauf, Nicole Weinkauf, and Dustin Weinkauf; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a great-nephew, DeAndre Anderson.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Weinkauf and Barbara (Phillip) Dahlby; and grandparents, Edwin and Signe Gran and Arvilla Weinkauf.
